The cannabis sativa plant is the plant that produces marijuana and hemp.

The THC in the cannabis sativa plant which we know as marijuana is mainly in the buds, and in the hemp plant any CBD is also mainly in the buds. There is not really much THC in marijuana seeds and conversely not much CBD in hemp seeds.

So hemp seeds which is where hemp oil is derived from contain no or little CBD. However, do not underestimate the qualities of hemp oil:

Hemp seeds are rich in protein, polyunsaturated fatty acids, omega 6, omega 3 and insoluble fiber. They are a good source of tocopherols or Vitamin E antioxidants. They’re packed with minerals such as potassium, magnesium, iron, zinc, calcium, and phosphorus, plus microelements like strontium, thorium, arsenic, and chromium.

High in essential fatty acids, Omega 6 and omega 3, hemp oil can be used to increase immunity, counteract aging skin and immporve cardiovascular h. Several studies show that the linoleic acid present in hemp oil can slow down the aging process and fight psoriasis.

CBD oil is produced from the flowers of the hemp plant, and to date the full healing qualities of CBD are not completely known, as in the past research has been quite complicated as it was basically illegal the world over (take note of the US farm bill—could change things). At present we believe it can help with the following conditions: Anxiety relief, anti-seizure (is very useful in children with epilepsy), neuroprotective, pain relief, cancer relief and acne.

As you can see the cannabis plant is a very powerful natural medication—and the cannabis sativa plant known as marijuana is also pretty cool.
