Can CBD help your pet?

Due to mammals having an endocannabinoid system as do humans, CBD can be as beneficial to pets as it is to their owners.
There is one point to be taken into account: dogs have a greater concentration of cannabinoid receptors
CBD can help your pet for the following conditions:
• Pain
• Seizure control
• Appetite (THC is generally better than CBD for appetite), but see below concerning static ataxia
• Gastrointestinal disorders
• Anxiety-related issues
• Inflammation
• Cancer (THC + CBD are both important for cancer)
• Improved quality of life

Is CBD safe to use for pets?
Due to pets also having an endocannabinoid system, they will respond to CBD and cannabis products in a similar way to humans.
However there is one important point to take into condsideration: there is a greater concentration of cannabinoid receptors in the brain of a dog than there are in other animals or humans. The higher concentration of cannabinoid receptors in their brain can make dogs react badly to THC. Dogs can develop a condition called static ataxia from a THC overdose – an inability to preserve equilibrium while standing.
This does not mean that dogs can’t benefit from some THC in their medicine, but the dose of THC must be very carefully controlled to prevent an overdose. The dose of THC should never be so high as to get the dog stoned, just enough to achieve medicinal effects.
Keep in mind there can be interactions between other drugs and cbd. Hence, it is very important that if your pet is taking any other medications, talk to your vet about possible drug interactions before you start using CBD (or THC) for your pet.
Let’s take a moment to see if it’s the same situation for cats as for dogs, cats also have an endocannabinoid system and CBD can help in the following situations:
anxiety, nausea, cancer, asthma, seizures, and inflammation of every kind.

Unfortunately there has not been enough research about these effects in cats. One thing is certain that it is not a good idea to smoke (tobacco or marijuana) around any animal (including) hu-mans. So if it is necessary to treat your pet with a CBD or THC substance the best thing is not to administer it via smoke. Their lungs are much smaller than ours!
To recap:
CBD is a powerful pain killer:
Studies have show that CBD can help pain in many different ways.
CBD is an anticonvulsant
CBD has been shown to be a great help in seizures, tremors, tics etc.
CBD is anti-inflamatory
One of the main reasons that CBD is so useful in fighting a wide range of conditions
